  • June Seance 2025

Whilst I may have already done a recording in June to ask my YouTube subscriber's questions, it had been quite a while since I last did a red light sitting. As usual, those who spoke rewarded my effort with clear voices and helpful advice.

I used only one Olympus VN2100 for this recording, and a solitary 5 watt red bulb. The quality of the voices is astonishingly good, contrasted against other recent recordings done with higher levels of lighting. Transferred as usual by 3.5 mm copper cord, in real time to the laptop, it was then uploaded to the mac for filtering in Audition.

Clip 1. I had been hoping to re-establish a recording routine with another experimenter, sadly it had not worked out as planned. It is believed by many who work in ITC, that our colleagues on the other side can influence our behaviour and practices, and the direction of experimentation. Of that I have no doubt.

Clip 2. Due to not finding suitable sitters, I will be experimenting with red light camera seances; my communicators are clearly in agreement. I used to work with a wonderful lady whose name was Somogyi, it would be marvellous to be reunited with her again. If it is my old friend, she was a formidible woman, and I'm sure would be a great help to our team. I've never personally known a communicator, it would be a first.

Clip 3. This made me snort with laughter. If you know me, you'll know my knack of securing treasures on eBay. The most memorable find, was made after being woken up by an unknown gentleman, to search for a harp. It turned out, the instrument was the exact same one I had taken a picture of many years ago, but could not afford. This was confirmed by the harp maker. I was the only bidder on the auction, and Merlyn finally became mine!

Clip 4. Over the years, I have been poor at setting boundaries and learnt the hard way, how not to be taken advantage of. This clip comes at a pertinent time, I have taken note.

Clip 5. Whistles have featured on a great many recordings in seances since 2005. I wasn't surprised to hear this one but the musicality and volume does set it apart from the others.
